The Mobilization Manager for Communities will be responsible for creating effective content to build community-based, hyper-local content that engages and mobilizes voters in their state. The position will report to the Colorado Mobilization Director Director and will work closely with the Mobilization Manager for Distributed to support, maintain and utilize in-state online communities.
Responsibilities:
● Build and maintain strong online communities in collaboration with the Mobilization Manager for Distributed and in-state organizing team;
● Recruit and manage an in-state volunteer digital captains program to develop, curate, and distribute grassroots-generated content in support of Democrats up and down the ticket;
● Develop and maintain robust in-state story-telling programs using platforms like Soapboxx, to create campaigns that reflect the coordinated campaign's message;
● Implement and support the state's relational organizing program, creating content using Outvote;
● Assist in developing virtual volunteer trainings, and onboarding and volunteer management processes using Slack and other online platforms focused on creating strong content that drives further engagement
● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● At least one cycle of experience with organizing or digital organizing program on a political campaign or progressive organization;
● Strong understanding of digital organizing programs and digital organizing tools;
● Familiarity with engaging or developing online communities;
● Experience with recruiting volunteers and developing volunteer leadership;
● Able to communicate effectively to a diverse set of constituencies;
● Exceptional writing, copyediting and proofreading skills;
● Design & video editing skills are a plus;
● Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight timelines;
● Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment;
● Spanish language fluency is a plus.
The salary for this position is $6,500/month and health benefits are provided. This position is full time through the General Election.
