The Mobilization Manager for Distributed will utilize digital organizing tools and distributed organizing tactics to build a community-based, volunteer-driven organization. The position will report to the Colorado Mobilization Director and will work closely with in-state Field and Data departments to maintain and support the digital organizing program.
Responsibilities:
● Execute voter contact and volunteer recruitment campaigns using digital organizing tools including but not limited to: peer-to-peer text, shortcode SMS, relational organizing, and digital volunteer management.
● Oversee peer-to-peer campaigns from start to finish, including pulling lists from VAN, drafting scripts, going through QA process, campaign launch, and debrief.
● Manage an in-state distributed text team, including volunteer onboarding, training, and real-time management using Slack.
● Train staff, organizers, and volunteers on digital organizing tools and tactics.
● Track and report metrics from digital campaigns.
● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● At least one cycle of experience with organizing or digital organizing program on a political campaign or progressive organization;
● Strong understanding of digital organizing programs and digital organizing tools;
● Familiarity using peer-to-peer texting campaigns on platforms such as ThruText (formerly Relay), Spoke, Hustle, or other;
● Experience with recruiting volunteers and developing volunteer leadership;
● Able to communicate effectively to a diverse set of constituencies;
● Exceptional writing, copyediting and proofreading skills;
● Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight timelines;
● Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment;
● Spanish language fluency is a plus.
The salary for this positions is $6,500/month, and health benefits are provided. This position is full time through the General Election.
