Position: Field Specialist
The State Senate Democratic Committee (SSDC) field specialist will work with the SSDC field director to assist campaign managers in all targeted Senate Districts. This role will require the specialist to interact with voters and volunteers on a daily basis. The specialist will need to communicate with activists and community leaders across the state to help State Senate Campaigns hit their direct voter contact goals. This position will also need to work closely with the DPW / Coordinated Campaign's Organizing team.
Responsibilities
Organize groups of volunteers to make calls in our targeted Senate Districts.
Recruit volunteers to participate in weekly field activities.
Meet or exceed metrics based goals for volunteer recruitment & retention as well as direct voter contact.
Learn to train volunteers on canvassing and phone banking best practices.
Use voter file (Votebuilder) to manage data and voter contact lists for volunteers.
Assist the SSDC Field Director and Campaign Managers in administrative tasks related to tracking field data.

Must be willing to travel to targeted State Senate Districts

Desire to fight for Democratic values and candidates.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
General knowledge of campaign concepts and strategies
Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities
Must be proficient in VAN (Votebuilder)
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in Microsoft Office & G Suite
Applicant should have access to a vehicle
Experience using peer-to-peer texting services, and managing social media pages
Salary: The salary range for this position is $39,000 to $46,000 depending on experience, and benefits include health and dental insurance.
Duration: This position starts ASAP and is expected to run through November 15.
