[GAINPOWER.org: Jobs That Are Left] Director of Candidate Fundraising

Director of Candidate Fundraising

314 Action
Washington, DC based with frequent travel (Remote for rest of 2020)

Our mission is unique: to recruit, train, and elect scientists and other Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) leaders to public office. In 2018, 314 Action's scientists led the charge to take back the House, with 9 wins for crucial House and Senate races. We raised over $5 million in the 2018 election cycle and well on our way to raising $15-$20 million for the 2020 election cycle. 314 Action was recently featured in the New York Times and HBO's Vice News Tonight recently covered our first cycle.

For 2020, we helped recruit astronaut Mark Kelly to run for US Senate in Arizona and have raised his campaign over $1M to date. In Colorado our "Draft Hick for Senate" campaign helped convince former geologist and former Governor John Hickenlooper to take on Cory Gardner and raised him over $100k in his first 48 hours in the race. We're also focused on re-electing our 8 newly elected scientists to Congress, along with expanding their ranks with House challengers like Dr Cameron Webb, Dr Hiral Tipirneni and Nancy Goroff as well as helping to build the bench at the state and local levels.

314 Action is looking for a Director of Candidate Fundraising to join our growing campaigns team. The Director of Candidate Fundraising will report to the Director of Campaigns and will work closely with campaigns of scientists running for office to help maximize their fundraising and to assess their fundraising operations for potential endorsements or other support.
