Canvass Manager Job Description

Our Canvass Managers are the day-to-day executors and managers of direct voter contact programs. Projects include direct voter contact programs, voter registration drives and signature gathering. Canvass Managers work with our leadership team to build and execute robust, people-focused programs that take off quickly. The responsibilities include staff management, reporting, training, scheduling and human resources elements. The duration and location of projects vary but always include strong backend operational support and guidance. If you consider yourself a "people" or "process" person with a knack for planning and logistics, this position is for you.

Key Attributes 

  • Management and planning experience including building and tracking reports, creating divisions of labor and personality / personnel management

  • Campaign or public affairs experience

  • Software proficiency with programs such as Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite and online project management tools

  • Training and communications experience that translates to non-political personnel

  • Conflict resolution and fluid problem solving abilities

  • Attention to detail

  • The antithesis of a, "Is that my job?" attitude

  • Commitment to progressive values

Salary Range: $5,000 / Month
