Field Organizer
Cooney for Montana seeks motivated, outgoing, and results-driven Field Organizers (FOs) to support our voter outreach efforts all over the state. FOs will run the day-to-day voter contact in their assigned turf and work to engage voters on behalf of the campaign. FOs will work to engage voters on behalf of the campaign via phone banking, texting, and potentially canvassing. They will also be responsible for volunteer recruitment and management, utilizing old and new tools, including relational organizing and digital outreach.
This is a full-time position through Election Day.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing voter contact functions, including phone calls, texts, organizing through social media channels, and (possible) door canvassing (per state guidance during COVID-19)
- Reporting on quantitative and qualitative metrics, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and reporting.
- Managing relationships with key community leaders, activists, and grassroots organizations
- Developing volunteer leadership across the state
- Serving as the public face of the campaign—implementing the campaign's organizing plan while developing innovative approaches to volunteer recruitment, voter persuasion, and voter mobilization.
- Assist with community events in execution of our field and organizing strategy.
- Work with field leadership to plan and help implement new outreach strategies in your region.

- At least one cycle of experience as paid staff, an intern, or a volunteer is ideal but not required.
- A car or reliable form of transportation, a functional cell phone, and a laptop are required.
Compensation is $3,500/month along with an option for health insurance. Relocation to Montana through Election Day strongly preferred. Supporter housing may be a possibility upon inquiry.
