National Guestworker Alliance: Resilience Force Senior Manager for Development

 

Summary

Resilience Force - the primary program of the National Guestworker Alliance - is hiring a fulltime, exempt Senior Manager for Development to lead the organization's fundraising efforts in collaboration with organization leadership.

 

The Senior Manager for Development will oversee the organization's fundraising, including maintaining effective relationships with existing funders as well as identifying potential prospects and growing the organization's donor base. 

 

This position will report to the organization's Chief Operating Officer and will be based remotely.

 

The Organization

Founded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, National Guestworker Alliance develops strategy and action to support low-wage workers, especially immigrants and workers of color, in a rapidly shifting economy. Resilience Force, NGA's primary program, is a national initiative to transform America's response to disasters by strengthening and securing America's Resilience Workforce—the millions of people whose work, heart and expertise make sustainable recovery from disasters possible. Job Responsibilities

●      Develop and execute a robust fundraising strategy that leverages the organization's relationships with existing institutional funders while growing an expanded network of engaged donors

●      Research and identify prospective funders, as well as other potential funding channels, for the organization's programming and advocacy work

●      Create and maintain effective strategies to keep active and prospective donors informed and engaged

●      Coordinate activities related to funding proposals, from drafting materials to tracking progress and ensuring timely creation, revision, and approval of all materials by program staff and organization leadership

●      Work with team to oversee and administer the grant management process, including ensuring that the program meets compliance and reporting requirements for foundation grants

●      Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

●      Five to seven years of experience with fundraising and development, as well as familiarity with the advocacy and/or nonprofit sectors

●      Experience with donor cultivation and maintenance strategies and best practices

●      Existing relationships with relevant prospective funders and donors is a plus

●      Strong written and verbal communications skills

●      Proactive and highly detail-oriented individual with superb follow-through

●      Strong judgement and ability to prioritize effectively

●      Ability to work in a fast-paced remote-based organization that shifts and changes rapidly and regularly due to the rapid-response nature of our program

●      Alignment with organizational values of economic and racial justice

●      Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

 

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $72,000 - $82,000, depending on experience.   This position offers a full benefits package, including 100% medical coverage for the employee and 90% medical coverage for dependents; 100% coverage for vision, dental, life/AD&D, long-term disability.  NEO also offers a 401K retirement savings plan, Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), Medical FSA, Dependent Care FSA, commuter benefits, Employee Assistance Program, other supplemental benefits and paid time off.
