Rank the Vote is seeking a dynamic Digital Organizer to provide "air support" to a transformative campaign to upgrade America's voting system to ranked choice voting (RCV).

Rank the Vote is a non-partisan, 501c3 grassroots organization founded by veteran activists who built the largest statewide movement for RCV in the nation. We are now exporting our successful organizing model coast to coast. The goal is to help local activists in every state build sustainable volunteer organizations that execute a program of massive capacity growth that will advance RCV in the public arena at a historically unprecedented scale.
About the Role
The Digital Organizer will be responsible for increasing visibility and support for the national movement by conducting smart and compelling content marketing campaigns across digital platforms to drive user engagement, supporter list growth, and grassroots fundraising. Working hand-in-hand with our National Organizers and state grassroots leaders, the Digital Organizer will harness digital tools to help drive success on local events and actions, and train state activists on digital organizing techniques to spur high-performance execution of their states' monthly signups, fundraising, and endorsements goals.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the organizing team to establish operational priorities and meet aggressive weekly and monthly goals for scheduled and ad hoc digital communications across email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media channels
- Work with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to develop a strategic communications plan that is aligned with Rank the Vote's movement strategy
- Develop creative strategies and messaging concepts that are compelling, timely, and aligned with public polling results and the current news cycle
- Develop mastery over campaign messaging, knowledge about Ranked Choice Voting and the vision for state and national political strategies
- As directed, train advisors, staff, and activists on messaging and best digital practices
- Maintain a corps of influencers and approved volunteers for social media amplification
- Manage social media platforms, including regularly writing and publishing written posts and sourcing and managing compelling graphic and video assets.
- Develop and manage both quantitative and qualitative metrics and systems to measure digital-related outputs, both organic and paid
- Create compelling content for the Rank the Vote website and social media platforms
- Perform online targeting and list segmentation
- Manage advertising on social media and other channels as needed
- Participate in the selection and management of digital-related consultants and vendors
- Other fundraising, operational, strategic planning, training, and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion, drive, vision, and obsessive attention to detail
- Demonstrated, measurable results from past successful digital marketing work.
- Mastery of major social media platforms, content marketing, digital advertising, end-to-end conversion funnels
- Excellent graphic and video creative and production skills
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Competence in GSuite, GDocs, and other web-based project management and collaboration platforms
- Prior online list-building and fundraising experience
- An unwavering positive attitude and good humor
- An eagerness to receive feedback and course-correction
- Passion for RCV and a commitment to continued learning
- Adherence to an ethos of non-partisan public relations and messaging, including engagement with individuals from a broad spectrum of political views, and ability to show restraint on expressing personal partisan opinions.
Supervisor: Executive Director
Schedule: Full-Time (Some evenings and weekends required)
Compensation: $45-$70K Salary (commensurate with experience)
