Field Canvasser Job Overview
An exciting democratic NYC Mayoral campaign is hiring field canvassers ahead of the June 22nd, 2021 primary Election to canvass door to door in neighborhoods informing voters of the candidate and his platform. Canvassers will learn about the candidate and communicate that information accurately and effectively while talking to voters and download feedback with canvass managers and supervisors.
Field Canvasser Responsibilities
Canvassers must be good communicators who are willing and able to follow scripts while delivering an inclusive and progressive message. They must be attentive and responsive during conversations with voters. Canvassers will walk neighborhoods up to 7 days per week, talking to voters on their doorsteps about our Democratic candidates. Successful candidates must:
You must be 18 or older.
Have a social security number
Have a working smartphone at all times
Walk or stand for a period of six hours
Interact with voters in an intelligent and persuasive manner
You must bring a valid State ID.
You must exhibit professionalism while directly engaging with the public.
WORK REQUIREMENTS (during COVID-19)
Must be able to:
Submit a negative COVID19 TEST within 3-7 days of the beginning training
Have valid state ID
