Summary: WDTO PAC is dedicated to both electing progressive leaders who will fight to remove barriers to voting and training and supporting campaign staff. After supporting over 30 federal candidates in the 2020 cycle, we're now building out our team and will have a budget of over $10 million. WDTO PAC is hiring a Director of Candidate Services who will be the first to hold this position and will be responsible for building from scratch and managing a candidate services department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with Finance Directors who will join WDTO-endorsed campaigns
- Assist endorsed campaigns with recruiting and hiring finance staff
- Support and advise Finance Directors on endorsed campaigns and identify opportunities for WDTO to better support endorsed campaigns
- Assist Campaign Managers with navigating how to best support their Finance Directors
- Build Candidate Services Department and liaise with Political Director to ensure WDTO's efforts to support campaigns are coordinated
- Coordinate and track WDTO's fundraising for endorsed candidates
Qualifications
Applicants for this position should have worked for at least 2 cycles in Democratic politics, including, ideally, as a Finance Director in a targeted Congressional race. The Director of Candidate Services should be dedicated to furthering WDTO's mission and to building an organization from the ground floor. They should also be collaborative but comfortable making decisions independently, have excellent communication skills, be extremely organized, and able to manage both up and down.

- Salary will range from $85,000-$100,000 a year, commensurate with experience
- Benefits include healthcare and 10 vacation days
- This position reports to the Executive Director and is based in DC but can be done remotely
