This post is posted by Voyager Consulting Group (kristendore@gmail.com); 202-210-4664 on behalf of my client At the Well (sarah@atthewellproject.org). --- At The Well (www.atthewellproject.org) connects women around the world through transformative practices inspired by ancient Jewish Wisdom. At The Well is quickly becoming the Jewish voice in the wellness world and the wellness voice in the Jewish world. Our core product, Well Circles, are communities of women meeting for a renewed take on Rosh Chodesh, the ritual of marking the new moon. We leverage the following strategies to inspire women to join: Engagement: We reach and teach individuals and organizations with trainings, physical and digital products, events, and campaigns that integrate health and holiness. Education: We create and distribute webinars, zines, blogs, and videos that connect the dots between Jewish spirituality and women's mental, emotional, and physical health.
THE OPPORTUNITY In 2015, out of one woman's desire to inspire other women to live whole lives, At The Well was born with the vision of a world where all women are connected to their own wholeness, spiritual practices, and community. Since then, we have grown to over 300 Well Circles and enabled thousands of women to become part of a larger community and find their own meaning in Judaism. The global coronavirus pandemic has uncovered and accentuated the isolation women disproportionately experience and scientific research points to the neurological benefits of belonging among cohorts of people. The Program Director will not only increase the impact of our current programming but help determine the future of our offerings as we are deep in a 3-year strategic planning process. As a result of your work, At The Well will be able to measurably increase the impact and growth of Well Circles and prove they build belonging in an uncertain world. We are looking for a highly relational and operational leader to take our growth to the next level by refining our programmatic strategy, running and evaluating our programs, and deepening our reach and network. Ultimately, you will run all of At The Well's offerings, including facilitating different programs and building a thriving network. You have a personal passion for our mission and are a leader who is excited for the dynamic work of owning the strategy and execution of our programming. You are a high-level thinker who loves creating and evaluating strategy as much as you love executing on the details. You are a relationship builder who seeks to create and expand the community. As our Program Director, you will: 1. Lead At The Well's core programming & build a thriving network Support women in running Well Circles: Based on the ritual of Rosh Chodesh, Well Circles are independently-run groups of 6-12 women who commit to meeting every month to story-tell, support each other, and share spiritual experiences; facilitation leadership rotates each month. You will support women who begin this journey by meeting with them, providing resources and guidance, and connecting interested Well Circle leaders with supportive coaches. Manage, grow, and facilitate our train-the-trainer program. In 2021, At The Well is launching a three-part professional training called "Seeding the Rosh Chodesh Movement" in order to provide young Jewish professionals with deep leadership growth and the tools to help others create sacred space. We currently have three trainings planned for 2021 and hope to add two more. We anticipate that over 50 Jewish professionals will participate in these trainings in 2021. Your role will be to build trainings, recruit professionals to join, and lead and facilitate all trainings. Lead and grow our coaching program: At The Well's coaching program has become a foundational piece of our programming and a key touchpoint for volunteers. Through our signature coaching program, we connect passionate Well Circle leaders to coach other women who are either interested in starting their own Well Circle or are currently in a Well Circle and are looking for more coaching. You will work to train peer coaches and then match them with mentees for a 6-week period called a "coaching cycle." In 2021, we want to grow our coaching program to a group of 40 active coaches who will be empowered to lead 300+ coaching hours. Manage and engage women in bi-monthly Big Gathers: One of the most successful digital offerings has been the bi-monthly Big Gather, a donation-based online event that attracts more than 150 women to each event. These events provide a taste of the ritual and sacredness of what participants experience as part of a dedicated Well Circle, and we involve a diverse assemblage of 10-15 co-hosts at each of these online events. Your role will be to own all back-end planning around and facilitation of these events, to expand our volunteer network of co-hosts, and to drive attendance to the Big Gathers 2. Create the short and long-term strategy around At The Well's programming.Ensure we have a clear user journey: From visiting our website to reading articles to downloading Moon Manuals, to engaging in Well Circles, we need a user journey that moves women up the ladder of engagement. Your goal will be to clarify and refine what this journey looks like and help ensure that at least 70% of our identified contacts move forward in a user journey that culminates in At The Well involvement. This includes improving gaps in the current user journey as well. For example, At The Well's monthly Moon Manuals are free digital resources that explore each Hebrew month with a range of group activity ideas and discussion guides. Currently, 500-600 women access these manuals, and about 50% of them are already in Well Circles. Your role will be to engage the other 50% further in At The Well's programming. Create strategic improvements to At The Well's programming: We are confident in our core offerings around Well Circles, Moon Manuals, and Big Gathers, but we need a driven leader focused on our programmatic strategy to suggest ways to improve, shift, and add to what we're currently doing. Evaluate our core work: All products – be they Moon Manuals, online events like The Big Gather, our signature Well Circle coaching program, or physical products like our calendar – drive our audience to start or join a Well Circle. We have countless qualitative anecdotes about the transformational nature of this core product, but we need concrete evaluation in order to validate and scale our product. By the end of 2021, we want to have irrefutable proof of concept so that we can become a mezzanine organization capable of meeting this demand. Your role will be to help build upon and enhance how to evaluate our impact. 3. Scale, expand, and deepen At The Well's network and offerings.Coordinate and recruit volunteers: Our volunteer model leans on our core value of community – reinforcing that we are all responsible for each other's belonging. You will help recruit volunteers to co-host Big Gathers and others to engage as mentors in our coaching program. You will ensure that they're supported as they take on volunteer responsibilities, and keep them engaged throughout. You will also identify and manage additional volunteer opportunities. Refine our partnership strategy: Well Circles have proven to be a scalable model for Jewish organizations looking to innovate. Our B:B training model teaches Jewish professionals how to focus on their own wellness while launching Well Circles in the communities they manage. Building on our successful partnerships with NuRoots, Honeymoon Israel, Adas Israel, Reboot and BBYO, we will continue to support partners in creating and running Well Circles in their communities. Your role will be to create new partnerships and nurture existing ones.
