[GAINPOWER.org: Jobs That Are Left] Would you enjoy VIRTUAL FINANCE DIRECTING on the frontlines of progressing Virginia?

An actual Progressive Millennial Incumbent Virginia State Delegate seeks a Finance Director. The applicant must be experienced in all aspects of email fundraising campaigns. This position requires an applicant comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and ready and willing to solve unforeseen challenges with speed and efficiency, utilizing their own and other team members' abilities. Thorough managerial abilities are needed. Strong interpersonal skills are a must and a willingness to work collaboratively with supporters and staff to motivate everyone to accomplish primary objectives is required. Having all the ideal skills and experiences is not a must but the ability to accomplish all responsibilities, utilizing applicant's own skill set or that of the other members of the campaign is of utmost importance.

Qualifications (Required):

  • Hustler

  • 1 cycle or more of campaign finance experience on state legislative race or larger.

  • Email campaign proficiency

  • Social media fundraising proficiency

  • Knowledgeable of immigrant communities.

  • Working knowledge of campaign finance law and Virginia reporting requirements.

  • Experience managing candidate call time and planning virtual fundraising events

  • Experience managing direct reports and/or interns.

  • Proficiency with NGP (preferably NGP 8), ActBlue, Excel and Google Drive. 

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to work irregular hours, specifically weekday evenings and weekends.

  • Commitment to electing progressive Democrats in Virginia.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience building relationships with campaign partners.

  • Experience with Email writing, tracking, and reporting

  • Working knowledge of PAC and digital fundraising.

  • Experience fundraising in Virginia.

  • Experience with Project Management platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute aggressive finance plan ahead of the Democratic primary, with potential to stay on through the General Election. 

  • Setting up 

  • Manage evening call time with Candidate

  • Manage fundraising event coordination with interns

  • Manage processes for new donor research/outreach and existing donor engagement.

  • Manage tracking and maintenance of donor data and other finance metrics; ensure accurate reporting.

  • Maintain and oversee compliance workflow to ensure all campaign compliance and reporting requirements are met.

  • All remote work, no in person required. Out of state and outside of EST applicants are encouraged to apply.

  • Other responsibilities depending on the needs of the campaign.

  • Reports to the Campaign Chair.

Start date: Yesterday

Position Type: Part-time or Full-time

Salary: $3,500 - $4,000 per month for full-time employment (40-50hrs/week), or $1500 - $2000 per month for part-time employment (~20hrs/week), determined by experience, with a fixed bonus for fundraising goals met at the end of quarters. Salary will be re-evaluated at the end of the first-quarter, either to increase pay or to keep the same. Health care stipends are available.
