Field Organizer needed for Manhattan Borough President Campaign
Join an incredible team working to elect Mark Levine as Manhattan's next Borough President. Mark is a proven progressive who is a leading voice in the fight for equitable covid recovery, affordable housing and has worked to protect tenants rights, responsible development and equity in schools, transit, parks and healthcare.
We're looking for an organizer with electoral or issue-based organizing experience to help manage a grassroots field program throughout every neighborhood in Manhattan.
Responsibilities include:
Participate in a robust grassroots field program, host virtual meet and greets, phone banks and community events
Recruit and train volunteers
Participate in direct voter outreach, including phone banking
Engage with and maintain relationships with community groups and advocacy organizations
Implement a program that reflects assigned organizing turf or region
Requirements:
At least 1 campaign cycle or other equivalent community organizing experience
Experience with VAN or excitement to learn quickly
Roots in and preferably living in Manhattan, especially Harlem, Washington Heights or Inwood
Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
Salary: $3000-$4000/month
