Civic Nation is seeking interns for a new public education and grassroots mobilization effort, Made to Save, which seeks to build trust in and increase access to the COVID-19 vaccines to combat the pandemic. The effort will serve as a centralized hub to coordinate and disseminate messages and effective strategies through a broad coalition of trusted partners.
Your Impact:
Maintain calendars, prioritize and schedule meetings, calls, and appointments for the Department team.
Assist with administrative tasks for the department team, which includes: capturing meeting notes, preparing materials, and assisting with presentations.
Support the execution of other department-wide projects as requested or required.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the department.
Take part in vaccine outreach work through national or local programs.
Your Experience:
A track record of getting results in a fast-paced professional environment.
Experience in healthcare advocacy or working with communities of color preferred.
Previous organizing experience, volunteer or paid, preferred.
Your Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as Google Suit, including Google Calendar, Google docs, and Google Sheets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong work ethic with calm and relaxed demeanor, even in stressful situations.

Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Compensation: This position is remote, will begin the first week of June and conclude by the last week of August. Interns are expected to work 20-30 hours per week and will be compensated at the rate of $15 per hour.
