Believe it or not, it's already February! Time is flying by which means that now more than ever, we need your nominations for the Powerful IDEA Awards. You have one more month to nominate the best, brightest, and bravest people you know in the progressive space for some well-deserved recognition and appreciation. The Powerful IDEA (Impact on Democracy, Elections, Advocacy) Awards are GAIN POWER's progressive political communications & leadership awards. The Powerful IDEA Awards recognize the most impactful people, organizations, technology, communications, and other resources that power progressive politics, advocacy, and our democracy over the past cycle. We honor bold, brave, creative, impactful leaders, campaigns, and advocacy organizations.  However, we can't celebrate what we can't see. We need your nominations to uplift the hard-working people who work to make our democracy better. There's one month left to send us your nominations but don't wait until the last minute. We have five categories with dozens of awards, geared towards honoring leaders in Progressive politics in the following areas: Transformational Talent and Leadership: Recognizing the people who do the work to impact our democracy, elections, and advocacy. These include the candidates, campaign and organizational staff, consultants, dedicated artists, and activists. Inspirational Organizations and Campaigns: Thousands of nonprofit, advocacy, and political organizations dedicated to promoting and protecting our democracy. They lead electoral and legislative issue campaigns, voter education, and of course help elect leaders who share our values. These awards will recognize the most inspirational organizations. Powerful Programs: Critical programs and events are run by formal and informal, organized and organic collectives and coalitions, single individuals and organizations. These awards recognize the most powerful and impactful ones from 2022. Creative Communications and Content: Creative communication or piece of content using video, print, digital, audio, or other media. Created for the purposes of communicating with members, voters, donors, or activists. Transformative Technology: Recognizing the technology built to organize, mobilize, fundraise and communicate with members, voters, donors, or activists. Deadlines and Timelines: Nominations Open: January 2nd, 2022 Nominations Close: February 28th, 2023. Late nominations may be accepted afterward, but may not be included for a full period of judging. GAIN Power Review of Submissions: February 28th-March 15th, 2023 Public Voting and Judging Begins: March 15th, 2023 Public Voting and Judging Ends: May 15th, 2023 Award Winners Announced: June 2023 (event date still pending) Learn more about the Powerful IDEA Awards.
