NGP VAN is looking for a Data Services Specialist.
As a Data Services specialist, you will work with customers and internal stake holders to ensure the efficient loading, transformation, and maintenance of NGP VAN customer data. You'll work closely with sales, engineering, and customer support groups to solve complex political and non-profit data problems, and work directly with customers to help them understand and realize solutions to their data needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage data imports and conversions for compliance, non-profit and advocacy customers
- Work with customers to solve data problems
- Manage data hygiene tasks
- Work with sales, engineering, and product management groups to accurately set and meet customer expectations
Requirements
- Competence with T-SQL or other common SQL variant
- A familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
- 1 cycle or 1+ years of experience with political or nonprofit data
- Proven ability to work with customers and stakeholders
- Ideal candidates will have past experience with political/non-profit data in a technology, field organizing, or fundraising. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL packages, and those with experience in common scripting and/or programming languages (PERL, C#, Python, Java, and Ruby etc.)
