Purple Strategies is looking for Polling/Data Analyst to join the Purple Insights team in our Washington, DC office.
Purple
Strategies provides strategic counseling, positioning, and
communication solutions for clients facing tough public policy and
media-related challenges. Purple Insights is the in-house opinion
research team at Purple Strategies devoted to translating public opinion
into an actionable communications strategy through public opinion
polling and focus groups.
Purple

the Washington Post. Our clients have included some of the most
recognizable brands in the world, leading industry trade associations,
and non-profit organizations, including McDonald's, Coca-Cola, BP, among
many others.
Analysts
are a vital part of Insights team and have an opportunity to assist
with all aspects of the survey research process from design to analysis,
including:
• Drafting questionnaires
• Developing sampling plans
• Programming online and telephone surveys
• Overseeing the fielding process, including data processing and quality control
• Performing data analysis
• Preparing reports and presentations of findings
• Proofing documents and presentations
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of professional experience
• A career interest in public opinion research and a love for numbers
• High proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Self-motivated and intellectually curious team player
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in at least one data processing/analysis software package, with a strong preference for SPSS or similar software
• Experience
with online survey programming software (such as Qualtrics or
Confirmit), large data sets, and voter or consumer surveys are a plus
