The New York State Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) is a strategic driver of social change and a laboratory for innovative collaborative work. We support a diverse group of socially responsible organizations committed to creating a better, more just, and democratic world through year-round civic engagement. NYCET is committed to lasting racial, social, economic, and environmental justice and building an intersectional movement that advances these goals collectively. Those issue areas include voting rights, quality and affordable health care, economic justice, civil rights, improving public education. NYCET is committed to movement building and leadership development. This includes forecasting political possibilities and building creative grassroots campaigns to leverage shared power to create transformational change.
Job Summary
The New York State Civic Engagement Table seeks a new full-time State Director to begin work in April of 2015. The State Director should be a visionary leader committed to transformational, progressive social change in our lifetime. The coordinator will lead the table, which is made up of member representatives from faith, civil rights, choice, youth, labor, disability, environmental, civic, LGBTQ, women's rights, education, immigration, communities of color, and other organizations and communities. Through effective collaboration with table partners, the coordinator is responsible for developing a coordinated program plan, fundraising to support the plan, innovating and evaluating best practices, engaging new partners to participate, managing staff and contractors, and overseeing the provision of resources and technical assistance for table partner organizations.

Location:
New York State. Location in New York is flexible, with a strong preference for New York City or Albany.
Salary Range/Benefits:
