Organization Description:
Clean Water Action works to ensure that Minnesota has clean and safe water now and for generations to come. As the state chapter of national Clean Water Action, we organize for the fundamental policies needed to improve the quality of our water and our lives. We work in alliance to address environmental, social and economic justice issues that arise from environmental problems. We foster active citizen leadership and organize affected communities to create political institutions that preserve and enhance our shared environmental legacy.
MN CWA was founded with the following goals in mind:
- Build the strength, cooperation and diversity of the environmental movement in Minnesota;
- Be a strong voice at the legislature and government agencies while holding them accountable;
- Elect and recruit strong environmental candidates to public office;
- Provide organizing, technical assistance, training and information to member groups.
We are one of the most effective environmental organizations in the country because of our ability to organize and mobilize our member base.

Phone Canvasser Position:
Part Time work calling our existing members to develop long-term sustaining donors for Clean Water Action's environmental work. Phone Canvassers educate members on current campaigns, fundraise, and get commitments to take action. A fantastic place to learn about politics, fundraising, and develop key communication skills with fun progressive co-workers!

-Self-driven and goal-oriented a plus!
