US Senate campaign in Illinois seeks a versatile finance staffer to join our campaign team. We are seeking an energetic, diligent, and smart campaign professional who wants to become part of a top pickup opportunity for Democrats in 2016.
Our finance staffer will be responsible for playing a role in almost all aspects of our finance operation.
The ideal candidate would be available to start immediately and be prepared to work campaign hours from day one.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with managing call time with candidate and/or surrogates on a DAILY basis
Research prospects and develop call sheets for the candidate
Record daily call time metrics and report those to the entire team
Conduct pledge followup with donors and track outstanding pledges
Process contributions and make daily deposits of contributions
Other duties as assigned from the finance team or campaign manager.
Qualifications/Skills Needed:
We prefer to hire a candidate who has at-least one cycle working on a campaign, preferably in fundraising. We are open to hiring a candidate with no paid campaign experience if they are determined, willing to jump right in, and prepared to learn quickly.
Candidate should have working knowledge and experience using NGP 2, Excel, Votebuilder
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in targeting donors and conducting donor research
Prior experience working directly with a candidate is preferred
Must be willing to work to work campaign hours
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary will be based on experience
