Competitive Midwest Senate campaign is seeking a Political Director for the 2016 election. The Political Director will be responsible for building and developing coalitions, cultivating new – and nurturing existing – relationships with key elected officials and community leaders, recruit volunteers, and interact with voters. The Political Director will work in collaboration with other department directors and will report directly to the Deputy Campaign Manager. This is a great opportunity for qualified candidates to create and implement a strong political program in a highly competitive Senate race.

· Create and execute an integrated political plan for the campaign.
· Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, activists, and other key stakeholders.
· Spearhead the campaign's surrogate program, and act as a surrogate themselves.
· Manage political call time for the candidate, campaign manager, and deputy campaign manager.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
· At least 2 campaign cycles of political experience or comparable work experience.
· Detail-oriented and has strong written and verbal communication skills.
· The ability to work independently and in team settings.
