[jobsthatareLEFT] JOB: Campaign Representative (SIERRA CLUB: Los Angeles, CA)

The Sierra Club's My Generation campaign is hiring a Campaign Representative to run its campaign to transition Southern California to 100% clean energy. This position will focus on leading a team to run campaigns targeting the two largest utilities in the region - Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Southern California Edison. This individual will have overall program responsibility and provide experienced leadership, and strategic planning and implementation. Responsibilities will also include media strategy, coalition coordination, representing campaign with high level decision makers, fundraising, and volunteer management.
The ideal candidate will at least 3-5 years of experience working on a national/state level campaign, preferably in a leadership position, with experience using multiple campaign levers, from community organizing, to lobbying, media relations, online tactics, and legal tools to win campaigns. A commitment to integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into campaign strategies and tactics is required. A sense of humor, absence of ego, and ability to work within a team constructively. Campaign leadership experience is much more important to us than is knowledge of the electric sector and/or clean energy policy, though that's certainly a plus.
Location: Position is based in Los Angeles in our downtown LA field office.
