GENERAL MANAGER, SEATTLE-TACOMA REGION
FARMIGO
DESCRIPTION
Farmigo is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded business leader to lead and grow our operations in the Seattle-Tacoma region. Are you the right candidate?
WHAT DOES A SUCCESSFUL YEAR AS THE GM OF SEATTLE LOOK LIKE?
As the Seattle GM, you've been responsible for the success of Farmigo in Seattle-Tacoma and have led the cross-functional team to strong performance to close out the year. You've established Farmigo and yourself as thought leaders in Seattle-Tacoma on local food and commonly receive request for comment and attend panels. You have grown a strong office culture, empowered employees, and engaged with communities around Seattle-Tacoma.
You remain surprised by the breadth and depth of your work over the last year, from turning the warehouse into a beautiful place to work, to finding deep insights in financial data, to attending management meetings. More specifically:
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit, and can still talk the business talk: You develop and execute Farmigo's growth strategy in the region, manage the regional P&L, and identify new marketing and business development opportunities
- You are a quick problem solver: You take care of everything before it occurs to anyone else, clearing the path to the perfect environment for your team. You identify cross-functional needs and work to resolve them before they become problems
- You have strong communication skills: You work closely with senior management at HQ and Seattle-Tacoma staff in functional areas including Marketing, Community, and Operations. You present, defend, and demonstrate the value of your ideas with senior management. You are a liaison between HQ and the Seattle-based team
- You can see the big picture and the details: You see trends in data, and are quick to identify opportunities and address challenges
- You are a people person with the ability to "rally the troops": You create an inspiring and productive work environment. You manage administrative staff, and pitch in when needed. You support your cross-functional team, guiding them to be most efficient at their own jobs, and collaborate effectively. You identify opportunities for improved collaboration to deliver a consistently outstanding customer experience
- You are part of the Seattle food community: You are an expert on the Seattle-Tacoma local food movement. You present at local conferences and are the primary face of Farmigo in the region. You have built relationships with key partners and community stakeholders and have engaged with local media
- You are flexible: As one of Farmigo's first GMs, you are actively engaged in the refinement and evolution of the role to achieve maximum accountability and impact
Will this be your story?
