Membership and Online Engagement Coordinator

Location: Denver

Conservation Colorado is seeking a Membership and Online Engagement Coordinator based in Denver who will bring vision, smarts, energy, and passion to their work. The Membership and Online Engagement Coordinator will assist in implementing Conservation Colorado's email program, growing and engaging a robust and active cohort of members.

This position is responsible for tracking Conservation Colorado's membership engagement and analyzing data to inform decisions to further engage our base. This position will assist in the creation and implementation of Conservation Colorado's online and offline engagement campaigns. In addition, this position is responsible for regular data entry and cleanup within Conservation Colorado's data platforms.

Conservation Colorado works to protect Colorado's environment and quality of life by mobilizing people and electing conservationminded policy makers. We work closely with policy leaders, citizen activists, businesses and other conservation nonprofits, and have built a reputation as one of the leading conservation advocacy organizations in the region. This coming year we will be tackling everything from finalizing Colorado's state water plan and implementing the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Power Plan, to moving key public lands and wilderness bills that will protect iconic places in Colorado.

 

Job Responsibilities

The Membership and Online Engagement Coordinator, who reports to the Membership and Online Engagement Manager, is responsible for the following:

·         Implementing Conservation Colorado's email program through setting up and sending out advocacy and fundraising emails;

·         Assisting the Membership and Online Engagement Manager with the strategy and calendar of Conservation Colorado's email program;

·         Executing some offline membership engagement campaigns such as fundraising letters.

·         Evaluating the success of campaigns through tracking performance metrics and reporting results;

·         Working to diversify Conservation Colorado's membership through implementing list growth efforts such as acquisitions and list swaps, including coordinating the swap or acquisition itself and uploading data;

·         Being point person on Conservation Colorado's data platforms by working with our providers to optimize usability;

·         Developing and implementing organization-wide protocols for data entry and tracking; training staff on those protocols;

·         Entering online and offline donations into data platforms;

·         Developing strategies to engage diverse communities who are disproportionately impacted by anti-conservation policies;

·         Actively participate in achieving other organizational priorities as needed, including fundraising efforts.

 

Qualifications

We're seeking a strategic thinker & problem solver who is results-focused, highly-driven, possesses outstanding interpersonal communication skills, and is organized and meticulous. You should possess:

·         A passion for protecting Colorado's land, air, water, and people through citizen action;

·         A demonstrated ability to maintain grace under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever changing environment;

·         Demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently;

·         Demonstrated ability to maintain projects on both long-term and short-term timelines;

·         Strong organization skills and high attention to detail;

·         Ability to interact and engage easily and naturally with anyone, regardless of their background, knowledge of our issues, or involvement with our organization.

Experience working on data platforms such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems as well as Spanish/English bilingual is nice, but not a requirement. The position requires a willingness to work evening and weekend hours as needed.


Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation depends on experience and is highly competitive. Includes health/dental benefits, retirement with match, paid time off program and sabbatical program.
