Top Tier Maryland Congressional Race seeks Field Organizer.
Start Date: ASAP
DC/Area Maryland Congressional race seeking entry level position of Field Organizer to implement field program. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing volunteers for persuading and turning out voters.
Field Organizers will gain invaluable experience on a large competitive race and develop key skills with some of the top organizers and campaigners in the nation. Applicants should be committed to Democratic values and be willing to work hard.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to implement the Field Plan
- Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and volunteers
- Empower volunteers to develop into leaders in their community
- Conduct outreach to community groups to increase size and scope of program
- Lead all field efforts in the region
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi task with short and competing deadlines
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
- Good sense of humor and ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment
- Willingness to learn
- Previous campaign experience; such as volunteering, interning, field organizer, is preferred, but not required
- Bilingual is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation
