Position Summary
Leadership for Educational Equity is seeking a part-time associate to support Talent Administration on the Talent Learning Culture team (TLC). The TLC team fuels the growth and success of LEE through fostering extraordinary, diverse talent. We do so by supporting our teams in recruiting, managing, developing, evaluating, retaining and rewarding staff members in order to create a high performance organization that provides outstanding leadership development opportunities.
Reporting to the Manager, Talent Administration, the Associate serves on the TLC team and supports work related to talent administration and development, including hiring paperwork, onboarding new staff members, New Hire Orientation, and administrative support related to internal staff development.
This is a part-time (~20 hours/week), 1 year appointment with the possibility of an extension.
Preferred Location: Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities:
- Support the administrative onboarding process for new hires, including tracking and paperwork
- Verify accuracy of data entries by auditing payroll and Human Resources reports
- Strategize and develop efficiencies around Human Resources processes
- Manage creation of personnel files for new employees
- Support the Manager, Talent Administration in the execution and planning of New Hire Orientation
- Support the Talent Development team, including providing administrative support with performance review processes
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of organization and project management skills
- Alignment with and understanding of LEE's mission and core values
- Experience working with sensitive information and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Experience in human resources preferred
- Ability to work independently and be a self starter, while being an effective collaborator in meeting the team's common goals
- Ability to exercise good judgment in dealing with unexpected challenges and difficult situations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Availability for 20 hours of work per week
Hourly salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience.
