The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) works to win state legislative seats and chambers for Democrats. The DLCC's mission is to build and maintain winning, state-of-the-art campaign committees in all 50 states by providing campaign services through a continuing partnership with legislative leaders, professional staff, and supporters.  DLCC spending priorities are focused on legislative seats and chambers where we can impact Democratic majority status in the current election cycle.     Position The DLCC is seeking a Digital Writer to work in its growing digital department. Applicant must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with an ability to produce high-quality content on tight deadlines. This position will report to the Digital Director and is based in Washington, DC. Job Responsibilities: Drafting copy for email campaigns, social media postings, websites, and blogs Developing concepts for email content Preparing email sends and analyzing results Conducting research when necessary for various writing projects Assist with copy-editing and quality assurance Ideal Qualifications: At least one cycle of experience on a campaign, party committee, or PAC, or similar non-profit experience Experience with HTML and/or CRM platforms such as NGPVAN, Salsa, BSD or others The ability to write engaging content on short deadlines An interest in keeping up with the current political climate Strong attention to detail Excellent writing and copy-editing skills  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks appropriately Demonstrated commitment to Democratic state legislative candidates, campaigns, and caucuses.
