DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary: The Association of State Democratic Chairs' mission is to help build strong state parties in order to elect Democrats from the State House to the White House. To accomplish this goal, the ASDC focuses exclusively on the current and future needs of State Democratic Parties. It serves to foster community amongst state party leaders and staff; equip members through training; and provide organizational support and resources for key initiatives and projects. The ASDC Director of Operations will report to the ASDC Executive Director and work with a small team based in DC. This role supports the day to day organizational and administrative management of the organization in addition to the planning execution of quarterly meetings.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Managing day to day administrative operations of the organization as directed by the Executive Director.
· Leading the planning and execution quarterly national meetings including: liaising between State Democratic Parties and DNC; coordinating events with vendors; and handling onsite logistics.
· Coordinating travel and scheduling of ASDC President.
· Facilitating communications between ASDC and State Democratic Parties including the management of membership database.
· Identifying and implementing cost- effective solutions, systems and protocols to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
· Preparing accurate and timely reports on monthly and quarterly basis, including financial performance, production metrics, key performance indicators.
· Helping to cultivate and maintain strong relationships to enhance the organization.
Preferred Skills & Qualification:
· 1 election cycle (1 year) operations experience
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
· Bachelor's Degree
· Familiarity with social networking tools, NGP VAN, Maestro Conference and QuickBase
· Willingness to travel as needed
