Position:
Level Solar is looking for passionate individuals that want to help families take advantage of solar to make a difference- for their family budget, and for the world. As a Solar Consultant, you will be part of a team that is responsible for educating home owners in your local area on the benefits of Level Solar and inspire them to take action and become a part of the solar movement by going solar with us.
This is a sales position, but your interactions with families are as much about education as they are about sales. In addition, this position requires regular travel to communities in and around your home office.
In addition to managing your assigned territory and meeting with families assigned to you, as a Solar Consultant, you will also be responsible for providing a great customer experience and generating referrals to expand that market. You will also attend regular meetings and trainings with your manager and fellow Solar Consultants. While our Consultants spend a lot of time in the field meeting with families, we put a big focus on team and are looking for staff who are driven to be top performers themselves while helping their team succeed as well.
About you: The ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication skills and the ability to connect to and inspire people from all walks of life. We're looking for candidates with a track record of success in in-home sales, fundraising or advocacy. If you have an entrepreneurial mind, are a problem solver; self-motivated; action-oriented; and have a strong commitment to our mission of building a clean energy business one family at a time, this is the job for you. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of products, services and sales offerings
- Follow-up on referrals to generate new customers
- Network and expand your customer base
- Live Level Solar core values
- Close contracts at clients' homes
- Provide the highest level of professionalism and customer service while keeping record of all communication
- Track and monitor performance against our minimum standards
- Attend regular meetings with your manager and your team to learn more about our product offerings, track our progress to goals, and build skills
Requirements :
- Technical capability required (basic Microsoft products, smart phone, etc.)
- Excellent time and energy management
- Proven sales track record- this is not for beginners
- Ability to think critically and solve problems in the moment
- 1-3+ years of proven sales experience preferred
- Proven sales track record in a direct-to-consumer environment
- Must have a car.
