New Partners is a full-service public relations and political consulting firm that works with national non-profits, issue advocacy organizations, trade associations and political campaigns.
New Partners is looking to hire a new Web Designer/Developer. This person will generate original, visually engaging websites and display advertisements that strategically support our client's goals. This person will design and build websites, implement traditional and mobile landing pages, support online optimization, debugging and break/fix projects, all while leveraging the latest online technologies.

• You produce diverse and excellent web and mobile design work. Your work shows an attention to detail, good use of typography, and knowledge of design theory and principles.
• You demonstrate knowledge of the design process, carrying a design from ideation to completion in a well-planned and thoughtful manner. For web and mobile design, this process should convey knowledge of user experience and UI design best practices.
• You demonstrate intuitive, innate, design sense in addition to technical knowledge.
• You are proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite applications and have the ability to translate designed into front-end development languages (HTML and CSS).
• You demonstrate knowledge of how websites are built and how to develop or work with contract developers.
• You are a natural self-starter and a problem solver.
Minimum Requirements:
• 2-3 years of professional experience delivering client-ready materials
• Some level of professional training, either a pre-professional design program, Bachelor's degree, or other certificate program.
• A diverse portfolio with examples of interactive work. Must include some examples from client projects.
• Knowledge of and experience with PHP, Java, HTML, and CSS.
• Ability to translate designs into a PHP-based content management system (Wordpress or Joomla).
• Ability to integrate industry standard CRM platforms into production website.
• General CMS templating and management required.
• Familiar with responsive website development for seamless mobile/tablet integration.
• Should possess strong web typography, color theory, and grid-based design skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work and interface with customers, coworkers, management, and contractors.
Additional Desired Skills
· Video production using Final Cut and Adobe Fireworks.
· Traditional print design skills.
· Experience with political campaigns is a plus.
