Candidate for New York State Senate in Brooklyn, NY is hiring for the following position:
Campaign Director
The Campaign Director will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the campaign. A primary responsibility for the CD will be to ensure that all tasks and projects handled by the all campaign staff and the candidate are completed in an effective and timely way. The Campaign Director's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
· Owning and managing the candidate's schedule to ensure that all important meetings are scheduled and that the candidates time is prioritized.
· Helping to prepare the candidate for meetings and debates by research issues and preparing memos.
· Attending events with the Candidate.
· Working with the General consultant (GC) to draft Press statements and handle media inquiries.
· Updating the social media accounts of the candidate in real time.
· Working with the volunteer coordinator to ensure that volunteers are being used in the most effective ways possible.
· Assisting the fundraising team by occasionally staffing candidate call time and following up with donors.
Qualifications
· Experience working in a fast paced environment (campaign experience a strong plus, but not required).
· Extremely organized and detail oriented. The CD is responsible for ensuring that dozens of tasks a day are completed and that the day to day of the campaign runs smoothly.
· Enthusiastic about politics and campaigning.
· Strong communication skills, both in person and written. The CD must be comfortable being the liaison to Press, supporters, donors, and any others the campaign comes in contact with.
· Ability to work evenings and weekends.
