Catalist is presently seeking applications for entry-level positions as an Election Data Processor during the current election cycle. This is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience at the intersection of technology and politics.
Candidates should have a passion for progressive causes. Skills required include strong organizational and communication skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), dynamic problem solving ability, and good internet research experience. Candidates should be available to potentially work in the evenings for a second shift position. Extra consideration will be given to applicants with any political or technology experience. Most importantly, we're looking for candidates with a great attitude, solid work ethic, and desire to learn.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include:
· Oversee the end to end data quality process for Absentee vote and Early vote (AVEV) files
· Gain proficiency with our AVEV intake tool through on-the-job training
· Coordinate the proper collection and processing of AVEV files from Secretaries of State and County Boards of Elections.
· Leverage internal and external resources to audit incoming files
· Document your work in a clear and thorough manner
· Other tasks as assigned
Our office is located near McPherson Square in downtown DC, for easy Metro access.
