Outreach/Organizing Coordinator For Progressive Solar Power Company
American Solar Partners (ASP), a well-established solar power company based in the NYC area, has an opening for an energetic young person with organizing and public outreach experience to coordinate our outreach and marketing program. The coordinator will be responsible for expanding ASP's relationships with a variety of groups, including unions, community groups, and environmental organizations. ASP is a progressive mission driven company that installs only American made solar modules and uses union contractors.
Responsibilities
Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, articles)
Design, create and manage educational and promotional materials
Organize and run ASP's outreach activities and promotional campaigns
Experience/Skills
Demonstrated creativity and social media experience necessary, including websites and Facebook, etc. (please provide links in your cover letter)
Strong writing and communication skills
Organized and attentive to detail
Organizing and outreach work such as political campaigns, canvassing, and issue work
Previous experience with the environmental or labor movement or in the energy sector is desired, but not required.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
Location:
ASP is located in southern Westchester County in the City of Mount Vernon, adjacent to the Bronx – 5 blocks from the Wakefield subway stop in the Bronx and 3 blocks from the Mt Vernon West Metro North station.
