TECHNOLOGY MANAGERPosition Title: Technology Manager Location: Remote -- US Classification: Exempt Compensation: $48,000 - $55,000 salary/yr Benefits: Eligible for health and retirement benefits after 3 months Reports To: Executive Director, Organizing Director Rev. Date: March 15, 2017 Overall Position SummaryThe Tech Manager is responsible for managing Gen A's database and the back-end of its app, Atomic Action. The Tech Manager will establish data entry, data categorization, and data request protocols; the Tech Manager will also enforce those standards and controls. The Tech Manager will report directly to the Organizing Director and Executive Director while interfacing daily with on-site Organizers to fulfill data requests. Specific Responsibilities & Authority- Recommend to Gen A Leadership and implement forward-thinking database structure, standards, and controls
- Administer campaigns through our mobile app platform and ensure data is being collected and compiled in prudent and useful fashion.
- Establish and implement, in consultation with GenA Leadership, data request protocols
- Utilize standards and controls to maintain high quality, usable data on supporters
- Provide excellent documentation of data standards, protocols, and practices
- Stay abreast of database technology and information security best practices; update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional networks
General Responsibilities- Become proficient in pro-nuclear talking points and organizational messaging
- Become proficient in other technical skills as the needs of the job evolve
- Provide monthly reports on organizational data to Gen A Leadership
- Other duties as assigned by the Organizing Director and Executive Director
Qualifications- Flexible, motivated and able to work with limited supervision in a virtual office setting
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize requests to meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communications skills
- Proficiency with CRM, spreadsheet, and word processing software
- Some experience or interest in coding preferred
- Familiarity with political or movement building activities preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; background in computer science, coding, or IT preferred
Work Schedule40 hours per week; schedule will be varied as the work dictates. |
