POSITION SUMMARY:
The mission of the new Mobilization Department at the Democratic National Committee is to bring ordinary people into the heart of the DNC and provide Americans with encouragement, power, and tools to mobilize in their communities. We organize in all 3,413 counties across the country, through the state parties and from the grassroots, and we seek to impact down-ballot races and build the Democratic resistance to the corrupt, dangerous Trump-Republican agenda.

The Production Director will oversee the creation of beautiful websites and elegant user experiences for Democrats across the country. You'll work with the Mobilization team to imagine new organizing, engagement and fundraising experiences while pushing our full stack engineers to build better, more performant tools to help elect Democrats. Finally, you'll need to translate requests from non-technical people into very technical products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the production of clean, professional user experiences on tight timeline, and with coordination across our engineering team and non-technical departments
· Oversee the process of creating new prototypes, donation and mobilization flows and original design concepts
· Keep code clean, well-documented and ensure performance across browsers
· Conduct user testing and ensure that our products and websites are free of bugs
· Collaborate with our analytics team to optimize user experience
· Manage other producers; work with the full stack developers
ABOUT YOU:
· 4 - 6 years' experience managing mobile or telemarketing programs
· A front end or full stack developer with 3 – 5 years of experience
· You want to build products that help win election
· You have worked with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Redux and server-side languages like PHP, Ruby, and Python
· You are well-versed in HTML5 and SASS/SCSS
· Managed A/B testing and have an understanding of web performance optimization
· Dedicated to mobile first experiences
· Obsess over image optimization, user interactions and other details that occur at the intersection of design and code
· Comfortable working under deadline pressure; willing to work long hours as needed
· Passionate for engaging millions of Americans in advancing the Democratic agenda, strengthening the Democratic Party, and winning the 2017 and 2018 elections
· You must be in DC or be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area

- Cloud services like Amazon or Heroku
- CMS's like Drupal and Wordpress
- Blue State Digital
- Donation processing systems such as Stripe
- Usability testing
