We're a grassroots citizen outreach organization that empowers our team of advocates to inform the public about community based issues and causes that impact us locally. Our Denver, CO based organization started in 2010 and has grown into one of the country's largest outreach firms. Our mainstay has always been targeted door-to-door grassroots and grasstops messaging, but we work on an array of projects including: ballot initiatives, petition circulation, issue-based elections, political candidate elections, community surveys, event-based outreach, and more. As a forward-thinking organization, we accept clients from a myriad of industries allowing our portfolio to have a breadth and depth unlike most in the industry. 

 

Summary

Black Diamond Outreach is looking for an outgoing and highly organized individual with above average communication and people interface skills to excel as the direct support to our multicultural and politically engaged consultants and central management staff.


Responsibilities

·         Administration – organize, coordinate, and schedule day-to-day calls and meetings, embody the admin role providing all necessary support including: tasking managing, task running, attending networking events, and representing BDO in outreach after-hours events.

·         Reporting - create and manage an excel spreadsheet database to track and organize current project deliverables, pending and prospective projects, current and prospective clients, outreach contacts, as well as meticulously tracking and handing off in/outbound phone and email communications.

·         Research – draft weekly client reports, research to stay up-to-date on current clients and client industries. Provide detailed research notes on potential projects, clients, industries, and market trends, as well as track legislation.

·         Communication - speak astutely and articulately about BDO as a company and our client portfolio as it relates to building relationships and making a positive first impression. This will entail using research and the ability to cite facts to start and keep the conversation going.


Qualifications

·         Some college education or the desire for higher education preferred

·         Demonstrates professionalism and integrity

·         Ambitious, strong work ethic, and open to new ideas

·         Are sports minded with a do what it takes mentality

·         Upbeat and positive attitude

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Excellent communicator

·         Proactive self-starter with leadership experience

·         Views problem solving as an exciting challenge

·         Some political campaign/lobbying/legislation experience preferred, but not required.
