You may have never heard of Renato Mariotti, but then again, you may have seen him on MSNBC, CNN, CBS News, seen a quote of his in the New York Times, Time Magazine, or the Washington Post, or read one of his articles in Newsweek or Politico.
Renato Mariotti, who spent 9 years as an Asst. US Attorney in Chicago, is now running for Attorney General of Illinois.
Renato served as a federal prosecutor in the Securities and Commodities Fraud Section of the US Attorney's Office, trying more than a dozen criminal trials and prosecuting a wide array of white-collar crimes, including commodities and securities fraud, spoofing, cybercrime, bank fraud, investor fraud, health care fraud, mortgage fraud, tax evasion and Internet pharmaceutical sales. Renato has also briefed and argued numerous appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Second, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits.
Renato has developed a national following this year amongst those seeking insight and legal analysis of the Mueller Trump - Russia investigation. His expertise and experience with these types of criminal investigations is widely sought after.
As Attorney General Renato will focus on consumer and worker protection, environmental enforcement, standing up to the Trump administration on immigration, and investigating Russian meddling in Illinois elections.
Mariotti attended the University of Chicago as an undergraduate, followed by Yale Law School.
Renato's campaign is now hiring fundraising staff. Prior campaign and fundraising experience is not required. This job would be an excellent opportunity for recent college/law school graduates and others who are interested in pursuing a career in Democratic politics or looking for a once in a lifetime experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Traveling and working directly with Renato
- Organizing and coordinating fundraising events
- Compiling and analyzing data, research
- Developing and implementing strategic plans

- Ideally, have database experience
