Illinois Elected Official seeks a
Petition Coordinator
A Democratic incumbent elected official in the Chicago suburbs seeks a qualified individual to fill a petition coordinator position. This position will be a hybrid of canvassing and volunteer engagement. Qualified applicants will have strong computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and be familiar with field organizing. Strong applicants will have at least one cycle of staff level experience working for a Democratic candidate, State Party, or allied organization in an organizing capacity.
Duties:
· Petition collection
· Volunteer recruitment, training, and management
· Data entry
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Computer proficiency required. Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite required. Experience using database programs, such as VAN and NGP, preferred
· Experience working with volunteers
· Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
· Access to reliable transportation
