Description:
The JB for Governor campaign is seeking a Fellowship Director to join a statewide organizing program in Illinois. The Fellowship Director will report directly to the Training Director and will be instrumental in designing and carrying out a robust statewide fellows program. This will involve, in coordination with with the Training Director, development and execution of comprehensive plans for fellows recruitment, fellows onboarding, and ongoing training and development for fellows.
Responsibilities:
In coordination with the Training Director, design and implement a robust statewide fellows program with clear curriculum, goals, and timelines
Provide additional support and accountability during the fellows recruitment and onboarding process
Write and conduct trainings for the Organizing Team on fellows recruitment and management
Develop and lead trainings for fellows across the state
Perform other responsibilities as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 cycle of organizing experience required, 2+ cycles of organizing experience strongly preferred
Experience managing fellows and/or interns required
Excels at creating and driving processes across a large department
Experience meeting deadlines and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
Strong knowledge of Google Docs, basic computer literacy, and access to a reliable laptop
Ability to work long, irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment
Ability to work independently and in team settings
Able to communicate with diverse populations and leaders
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an ability to relocate as needed. Willing to travel to regions across the state.
Excellent personal, verbal, and written communication skills

Compensation:
Salary for this position is commensurate with experience and skills.
