Our Revolution, the organization carrying on the legacy of the Bernie 2016 presidential campaign, is seeking a talented individual to serve on the organization's Political Team as the Electoral Coordinator. Ideal candidates will be wholly committed to the organization's mission of creating a more socially, environmentally, economically, and racially equitable nation by winning key progressive victories. Additionally, they will exhibit a "not me, us" attitude, working as a team to achieve the common goal.
Summary:
Our Revolution is seeking a Electoral Coordinator to support our grassroots-led political work and endorsement process. We plan to help elect candidates and pass ballot measures that advance a social, racial, and economic justice agenda. The Electoral Coordinator will serve as a critical part of this mission. They, alongside with other Political Department staff, will guide Our Revolution groups as they seek national endorsements for their candidates and build progressive power on the local level. Position will report directly to the Senior Electoral Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer emails from local groups and outside inquiries
- Manage volunteer participation with specific projects and engagement
- Process and track endorsement applications
- Research candidates and ballot measures
- Track political races and ballot measures important to Our Revolution
- Assist with GOTV efforts
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will have many, if not all, of the following:
- Strong commitment to progressive politics
- Work on a previous election cycle, ideally in a paid capacity as a campaign or field manager
- Leadership in a volunteer-led community
- Participation with a chapter-based organization
- Ability to balance multiple projects with several stakeholders and competing deadlines
- Knowledge of database management and G-Suite
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
$50,000 DOE
