Description:
The congressional campaign is hiring a hard-working, motivated team player. The Field Organizer will play a critical role in executing the field plan to flip Washington's 8th Congressional District blue!
The Field Organizer works closely with the field team and the Field Director to execute the field plan in the assigned turf. Field Organizers must have excellent interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Field Organizers serve as the campaign point of contact and are responsible for meeting direct-voter-contact (DVC) goals in their assigned turfs. This is done primarily via phone calls and door-to-door canvassing. To meet DVC goals, Field Organizers are responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of volunteers and community activists to amplify this effort.
This position is based at the campaign office in South King County and requires frequent travel primarily throughout King and/or Pierce Counties, depending on assigned turf.
Responsibilities:
- Meet daily and weekly DVC goals via phone calls and door-to-door canvassing
- Grow our network of supporters via phone calls, one-on-one meetings, and community outreach
- Identify and cultivate volunteer leaders in the assigned turf
- Develop and maintain relationships with activists and volunteers in assigned turf
- Manage day-to-day volunteer tasks and maintain contact to keep them engaged
- Mindfully track and accurately enter data into Votebuilder daily
- Ensure data integrity
- Report to the Field Director twice daily
- Professionally and accurately represent the candidate and campaign
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Stellar organization skills
- Previous organizing or political campaign experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license and daily access to a reliable vehicle
- Familiarity with, or ability to learn and efficiently navigate, Votebuilder/VAN
Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
