A competitive Massachusetts State Senate campaign is seeking a Field Director. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, personally organized, and has knowledge and experience with data-driven grassroots campaigns. Field Director will work the Campaign Manager and campaign consultants in developing, executing, and refining (when necessary) the campaign's field plan.
Responsibilities:
Implement a metrics driven campaign plan, which sets out aggressive voter contact goals
Develop and oversee volunteer recruitment and field internship programs
Recruit, hire, train, and individually manage Field Organizers
Create daily and weekly reporting structures with Field Organizers and campaign leadership
Establish and reinforce standardized best practices in all aspects of field for field staff, field interns, and volunteers
Build and develop positive relationships between the campaign and stakeholders throughout the district.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) cycle of field experience
Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and VAN
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in training, managing, and empowering volunteers
A willingness to work long, irregular hours, even on evenings and weekends
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience
