Zephyr Teachout, candidate for New York Attorney General, is looking for a finance assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to get experience working in the financial arm of a major statewide campaign, as well as work for one of the leading progressive voices in New York.
Responsibilities:
- Providing general support to the finance team.
- Overseeing finance fellows and interns.
- Perform donor research, and maintain relationships with donors.
- Assist with preparation, logistics, and follow-up for fundraising events
- Assist in maintaining data integrity by tracking projects, performing data entry, and database maintenance
- Prep calls for candidate call-time.
- Assist with other campaign related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous campaign or fundraising experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to converse with donors.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Knowledge of VoteBuilder/VAN preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and creatively problem-solve
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
- Willingness to work long and irregular campaign hours.
- Passionate about electing Democrats.
