Position Summary:

The manager, storytelling a creative, strategic communicator who develops multimedia products (podcasts, videos, audiograms, memes,  and other interactive media and products as part of the LEE Communications Team's engagement with members, staff, partners and a variety of stakeholders.

Position Location: Washington, DC or New York (preferred)

Travel Requirements: Up to 40%

Responsibilities:

Dynamic digital content development  (60%)

  • Develop multi-strategic use digital content for internal and external audiences, including producing the member story booth, video and audio recording and production, audiograms, podcasts and promotion materials (emails, webpages, social content) for those products. 

Social Channel Management (30%)

  • Manage LEE's social channels and presence, implementing a comprehensive strategy for integrating LEE's social channels with our internal and external goals for social platforms.​​

  ​Creative projects as defined (10%)

  • Additional projects related to LEE's social, web and storytelling as developed.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in digital marketing and communications
  • Strong digital marketing insights and exceptional familiarity with social platforms and their use in digital marketing and engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience planning and creating video and audio content for mass engagement and digital storytelling
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate within a geographically dispersed team
  • Strong, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion
  • Deep passion for educational equity and belief in LEE's mission and theory of change

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
