JOB TITLE: Political and Fundraising Associate
Location: This position will be located in our Washington DC office
Salary Range: $50k – $65k (base) plus commission possibilities
E Street Group LLC seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a fundraising associate at our firm. This position will assist the partners of the firm with all fundraising related activities on behalf of the firm's clients. The ideal candidate for this position speaks Arabic and has deep roots in the Muslim American or Arab American communities. Your email should include specifics about your capabilities.

Fundraising Support for Current and Future Clients
Estimated percentage of time: 60%
Donor outreach – significant volume of calls to donors and potential donors of clients to set up fundraisers, meetings, attend events, and opportunities for our clients to connect with donors and prospective donors to solicit funds
PAC / Association and Labor outreach – to grow DC based fundraising programs for clients.
Donor asks – some direct fundraising solicitations of lower dollar donors ($250/$500) will be made on behalf of the clients
Call time support – donor research including creation, research and completion of call sheets with donor information, correct phone numbers, biographical information
Staff call time – occasional support partners or clients by staffing call time
Database maintenance – inputting data, de-duplicating contacts, and ensuring accuracy of data
Call time follow up – any work required to enter in call notes, follow up requirements and ensure that clients and firm partners have all the tools to follow up with donors
Scheduling – making phone calls for clients and scheduling meetings with donors and potential donors
Client relationships – maintaining positive relationships with clients, flagging and troubleshooting potential issues with clients to partners or other team members and trying to find ways to maintain all client relationships
Other duties as assigned – complete any other assignment designated by a supervisor or partners of the firm
Campaign Service Support for Clients
Estimated percentage of time: 20%
Good consultants do their job. Great consultants go above and beyond. When we work with campaigns and causes we want to support every facet of their campaign and that ultimately means doing work that may be outside of the campaign scope but is vital to ensuring the campaign wins.
Writing, editing, modifying, creating and promoting campaign plans that are easily understood with strategic goals and objectives that are easily understood
Executing campaigns plan for cause campaigns or supporting political campaigns with the execution of their campaign plans; ensuring that partners, client staff and our internal team understands what is needed, under what deadlines and clear prioritization of work
Inspire, motivate, supervise, coordinate the work of all campaigners, action/ logistics staff and encourage them to be strategically focused on implementation of the plan
Develop and track multiple and complex budgets
Providing accountable metrics and qualitative reports to clients
Create cohesion and vision between consultants, the campaign team and our firm on campaign priorities
Helping recruit, train and coach a diverse campaign team to execute the plan
Relationship Maintenance and Growth for Firm, Clients and Prospects
Estimated percentage of time: 10%
Generate new leads – constantly be looking for new donors, information and data to grow fundraising program for all clients
Event attendance – attending events, when financially possible, to build relationships with donors, collect business cards, learn about donors and the issues they care about and plug the right candidate(s) to the donors
Skills Development
Estimated percentage of time: 10%
Looking for skill development opportunity, chances to be on the ground with the client and overall professional development
Intern management – hiring, training and supporting any interns associated with your work
Manage up – provide feedback, clarity and information to partners when it will impact (positively or negatively) operations and fundraising for clients
REQUIREMENTS
Speaking proficiency of Arabic
Previous experience working in or around the Muslim American or Arab American Communities
College Degree
Previous employment or internship in political, fundraising, policy or communications space
Expectations
A good fundraiser must be highly organized, a self-starter willing to work independently and also collaborate on critical projects while pushing the rest of the team and our clients to meet their fundraising goals. We need a colleague with experience with targeting contributors and follow up management, ability to manage details and stay on top of multiple tasks and a strong commitment to Progressive ideals and issues. You must have excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, demonstrated experience with Google suite, Excel and NGP/VAN and Constant desire to do more, perfect the craft and manage up when something is needed.
You have a demonstrated ability to think ahead, a commitment to data-driven program design and an entrepreneurial spirit that consistently looks for novel ways to approach problem.
