Job Opening: Prescription Drug Affordability Regional Organizer and/or Project Co-Director
Doctors for America (DFA) is a national grassroots organization that mobilizes thousands of doctors and medical students in all 50 states putting patients over politics to improve the health, welfare, safety, and equality of our patients, community, and nation. This is OUR LANE, too! Our 10 years of advocacy and education is filled with successes in amplifying the voice of physicians.
Summary:
DFA has an immediate opening for the position of Regional Organizer and/or Co-Project Director of DFA's Drug Affordability Campaign. The exact position will be based on your experience.
We seek an experienced strategic organizer to advance this Initiative by engaging doctors in initially several states, and our members nationally in our fight for drug affordability. This position will oversee, develop, and implement the components of this Initiative stated below that involve our 19,000 members in collaboration with the national movement for drug affordability. DFA members are on call for our patients and for our local, state, and national social justice partners. This is a grant-funded Initiative, although fundraising from engaged physicians is an equal priority.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging physicians in the fight for fair drug pricing and recruiting a strong diversity of physicians in this fight. These efforts will directly be part of rebuilding DFA's State Chapters in our states. As we succeed in this endeavor, this project will be expanding to other states, leading to greater responsibility and leadership role within DFA.
