Operations Manager
The Democratic Party of Virginia is hiring an Operations Manager to support the Organizing team for the 2019 General Assembly elections. We are looking for a passionate, tactful, hard working individual who is committed to helping Democrats take the majority back in this year's most hotly contested state legislative races.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Work with supporters to provide housing to new staff, interns, and volunteers
Facilitate the procurement and opening of GOTV staging locations
Monitor regional budgets and approve expenditures
Respond to Operations Requests from Regional Field Directors
Assist in planning and management of material compilation for final voter contact effort
Assist with other Human Resources and operational duties as assigned.
Assist with locating additional campaign offices or spaces for field staff.
Preferred Skills and Background
Experience with NGP, QuickBooks online, standard MS Office applications
Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
Ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate and work efficiently with the operation team and other Departments.
This position requires a bachelor's degree.
This is a full-time position requiring a full-time commitment starting as soon as possible. Salary commensurate with experience. Position will include medical, vision and dental insurance benefits at no cost to the Operations Manager. Travel throughout the commonwealth is to be expected; reliable transportation is a must.
