The PA House Democratic Campaign Committee seeks a Digital Director for the 2019- 2020 election cycle. HDCC will implement an aggressive plan to protect incumbents and take the majority in 2020. This person reports directly to the Executive Director and will work across departments and with members and candidates. This is a full-time, cycle position based in Harrisburg, PA.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and improve HDCC website and social media accounts.
• Work with Executive Director and Finance Director to build an online fundraising program by utilizing and growing our email list.
• Engage Democrats online in target districts by writing, editing, and curating content for social media accounts.
• Support the caucus's visual language online; create social graphics, email, digital product, event promotional materials, and other items for use by the committee, incumbents, and candidates.
• Assist with rapid response online through creation and dissemination of rapid response content including graphics and other shareable content.
• Perform trainings for incumbents, candidates, and staff on skills such as email organizing, social media, and online fundraising.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Passion for Democratic principles and a strong commitment to the HDCC's mission and goals.
• Able to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail necessary.
• Experience with email and digital organizing, online fundraising, and some communications or rapid response.
• Experience with online analytics platforms.
• Understanding the basics of graphic design.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of and experience with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus.
Applicants should be prepared to work long hours. Relocation to Harrisburg, PA is required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
