National Reach and Distributed Canvass Program Manager
at Warren For President (View all jobs)Warren for President is hiring a National Distributed Canvass Manager to manage our national distributed canvass program to help Elizabeth Warren secure the Democratic Party's nomination for President.
The person in this position is responsible for designing and implementing our national distributed canvassing and Reach organizing program, including training volunteers, developing and executing content that encourages volunteers to hit our voter contact goals, and managing the experience of volunteers using Reach and distributed canvass tools. In this position, you'll also serve as a resource to state organizing programs and the national organizing program.
This is a full-time position based in our Boston, MA headquarters and is part of the national Grassroots Mobilization team.
In this position, you will:
- Develop and launch Reach programs, including a community canvass program, to meet our organizing, capacity-building and fundraising goals for our national program.
- Run our national community group of Reach and distributed canvass volunteers; ensure that volunteer and voter questions are replied to in a timely manner and manage relationships with super-volunteers and volunteer communities
- Create and deliver trainings on Reach, MiniVAN, and distributed canvassing.
- Build a team of volunteer leaders to help thousands of Reach users use the tool correctly, efficiently, and creatively.
- Administer Reach, update scripts, track daily, weekly and monthly usage, and produce reports for leadership.
- Manage canvass vendors.
Top things we're looking for:
- Two cycles of organizing experience and at least one cycle of digital organizing experience is preferred.
- Experience building, managing, and growing volunteer teams.
- Experience with distributed organizing.
- History of training and coaching organizers or volunteers on digital tools.
- Goal-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask.
- Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Elizabeth Warren.
Not required but a plus if you have:
- Experience using Reach on a campaign as an organizer or volunteer
- Experience managing a large digital organizing program
