The Warren For President Campaign is hiring a National Distributed Events Organizer to manage and build strong relationships with Warren for President volunteer event hosts, in order to scale our distributed events program and create high quality experiences for distributed event hosts and attendees.
This full-time position will be based in the Warren for President campaign headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.
In this position you will:
- Work closely with the campaign's Distributed Events Manager to scale our events program by recruiting and training new volunteer hosts while supporting our existing host network
- Help volunteer hosts manage their MobilizeAmerica accounts, including by approving shifts and Trusted Host status
- Help manage and oversee Event Hosts group in our online community, including our volunteer leaders
- Conduct weekly check-ins with hosts
- Create and implement new or better systems to support volunteers and improve both the host and attendee experience
- Run regular virtual trainings to teach volunteers how to host events
- Answer questions about our event program over email and other digital channels
- Write toolkits and other training resources
- Other duties as assigned
Top things we're looking for:
- Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Elizabeth Warren
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, on-call environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication skills and friendly attitude, with an understanding of the importance of responsiveness and kindness
- Belief in large-scale grassroots organizing and volunteer empowerment as a means to elect Elizabeth Warren
- 1 - 2 cycles as an organizer, or other relevant experience coaching individuals to host events
- Strong writing and editing skills that give you the ability to help our volunteer hosts create short, punchy copy to describe their volunteer events
Not required but a plus if you have:
- Experience with distributed or digital organizing tools
- Experience with Mobilize America
